Position Summary

Western Carolina University’s School of Stage and Screen seeks an Assistant Professor of Film and Television Production. This is a 9 month tenure track position. Primary duties include teaching camera, lighting, and editing courses, as well as advising student filmmakers in pre-production, production, and post-production processes.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required for this Position
Minimum Qualifications

MFA in Film Production or related field. Three years teaching experience minimum. Three to Five years professional experience in camera operating, lighting, and editing (including VFX).

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced ability to teach Premiere, After Effects, and Adobe Audition post-production software. Five years experience in film production. Experience with production and post-production sound a plus.
