Position Summary

This position will act as a working supervisor and will perform a variety of duties in the care and cleaning of Residential Living facilities. Duties include physically challenging activities such as moving furniture, operating heavy cleaning equipment, carrying trash, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, walls, windows and light fixtures, minor maintenance and other related tasks. The position is also responsible for assisting in staff training, the supervision of housekeepers on a daily basis, maintaining time and leave records of employees, inspecting housekeeping areas of oneself and subordinates, and acting as a communication liaison between supervisor III’s and housekeepers. This is a physically demanding job which requires constant standing, squatting, walking, pulling/pushing and requires the ability to lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required for this Position

Knowledge of cleaning techniques, strong interpersonal skills, written and oral communication skills, proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook and internet explorer, organizational and planning skills, ability to follow written and verbal instructions, supervisory skills

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Training and Education at the entry level: Graduation from High School or possession of a GED, and one year of experience in the area assigned; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Management prefers candidates with at least 2 years supervisory experience in a housekeeping setting

Anticipated Hiring Range $32,000 - $35,000
